Job Title: Carbon Footprint Assessment (CFA) Project Manager
Reporting To: Managing Director
Pay Band: £60-70k package depending on experience
Location: Bracknell, Berkshire
As a result of significant growth and increasing customer demand Neutral Services requires a high calibre CFA Project Manager to own an aggressive schedule for global rollout of a web-based assessment tool to corporate operating sites, to include a schedule of data collection, processing, analysis and reporting. The CFA is required to establish an accurate corporate carbon baseline measurement.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Managing Director, the post of Carbon Footprint Assessment (CFA) Project Manager has been created to take responsibility for global CFA project rollout to include project definition and refinement; data collection, processing, tracking and analysis; corporate carbon footprint reporting for property operations and site-owned transport; stakeholder management; management of application development for the web-based CFA, and management of the CFA application and data integration with non-TNG systems.
The successful candidate will guide a team of direct and indirect reports in the periodic collection of operational and financial data from global assets. It is expected that the CFA project manager will also have client delivery responsibility. The role requires excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
CFA Rollout and Management
Global roll-out of CFA web-based application to corporate property sites;
Development and execution of roll-out plan, by region and business unit, working at multiple levels to achieve CFA targets;
Development of tactical and strategic marketing plans to reach all sites through planning, outreach, follow-up, collection, and data and task validation;
Motivation, management and tracking of direct reports and other internal staff to roll-out CFA;
Motivation, management and tracking of indirect reports in regions, business units, including site-level contacts, to ensure accurate and timely completion of data collection;
Carbon Reporting
Development of reporting schedule, by region and business unit, in accordance with TNG reporting responsibilities and stakeholder requests;
Development and implementation of data integrity process for all site-based data collection;
Development of a global carbon reporting dashboard to include, at a minimum, carbon baseline figures defined by units, quantity, costs, and CO2e emission levels;
Report generation, dissemination and coordination with TNG and corporate entities who require or request report information;
Ongoing advisement and interaction with TNG management regarding CFA findings, and carbon trends within operations, site, region and business unit trends and anomalies to assist with effective lead generation of opportunities.
Project Management
Deliver solutions and projects on time, in full, and to cost to the client, as profitably for Neutral Services as possible
Manage all available internal resources to ensure that revenue and customer expectations are met;
Build and develop positive relationships with clients, channels to market and specialist consultants and supplier Project Managers;
Ensure client-facing communication is managed effectively;
Communicate good practice.
Personal Qualities and Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a successful track record in the areas outlined in this job description and also demonstrate a capability and willingness to develop further in the role. Specifically the successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
Experience of working at all levels with a wide range of individuals from all backgrounds and partner organisations;
Experience of successfully running large projects - full lifecycle (from initiation to benefits realisation), ideally in engineering and business roles;
Degree in engineering, science and/or management field is required. Masters degree is preferred;
A proven background in project management emphasizing supply chain to include property and transport operations, data collection and analysis, and written and oral communication with broad group of peers;
Experience of working with multiple stakeholders with varied agendas;
A strong team player combined with a well defined ability to prioritise and negotiate realistic deadlines;
An ability to think and act beyond the immediate priorities;
Understanding of renewable energy system types, costs, installation, and maintenance factors;
A strong track record in people management and delivery;
Knowledge of the carbon issue
